Mark Polk

I investigate nutrient starvation in bacteria to further our understanding of how microbes withstand the stresses that they encounter in the natural environment. I do so through experimental work, assessing, measuring, and comparing the phenotypes of bacteria in various starvation conditions. I am currently an A.B. Candidate in Applied Mathematics at Harvard College.
