I have earned my master’s degree in Biochemistry from the department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, India. I have obtained my Ph.D. from the Gurdon Institute, University of Cambridge, UK. My Ph.D. is focused on elucidating dynamic mechanisms the maintain polarity in the Drosophila follicular epithelium. I am interested in quantitative biology and experimental systems biology.

In Basan lab I will work on tissue homeostasis, using Drosophila as a model system.
